The 6th annual tournament nearly doubled in size from last year’s event, drawing bigger crowds and even more energy. Attendance climbed, more golfers teed off, and new sponsors stepped up to support the mission. The refreshed visual identity and streamlined materials helped drive that momentum, making it easier to attract participants, secure sponsorships, and deliver a well-organized event that felt polished from the first tee to the final putt.

Be The Change
Community Impact Through Golf
Be The Change MN is a Minneapolis based nonprofit focused on empowering people through community service. They came to me looking to grow the size and impact of their 6th annual charity golf tournament. The idea was to bring community leaders and local nonprofit orgs together to make new connections and raise money for programs that really matter.
I jumped in to create a "More Than Just a Golf Tournament" tagline logo, a sponsorship sales deck, and marketing pieces to spread the word. I also pulled together all the event-day experience details like signage, wayfinding, and merchandise so everything felt welcoming and polished out on the fairway.

The goal was to elevate and polish Be The Change’s existing brand system while staying true to its core identity. Their kit featured three core colors, red, purple, and green blended in a vibrant gradient to create movement and connection across marketing pieces and course signage. I kept those elements at the heart of the design, pairing a clean sans serif with a gritty, hand-drawn script to add personality and a grassroots edge. The result was a refreshed, energetic look that honored the brand while giving the tournament a professional presence across sponsor decks, social posts, and every on-course detail.

Merch designed to
Remember the day
Every detail of the tournament was designed, including merch, to keep the brand front and center while making the day feel special. Players and volunteers sported branded t-shirts, hats, and polos on the course. Guests took home a mesh bag giveaway that carried the event’s bold colors and tagline for a lasting keepsake.
To make the experience photo-ready, I created a step and repeat backdrop for group shots and sponsor photos, and designed volunteer shirts that stood out and helped staff stay visible. The result was a full suite of apparel and giveaways that tied the event together, boosted team spirit, and gave participants something to remember long after the final putt.

Signage that
steered the day
Most of my work for the tournament focused on signage and wayfinding, making sure the event looked great while staying easy to navigate. I designed hole sponsor signs, parking markers, and directional signs that carried the bright color system and signature gradient so guests were guided clearly and consistently.
From the first parking lot welcome to the last green, every sign felt like part of the same story. The designs not only helped players, volunteers, and sponsors know where to go, they also gave the course a unified, professional look that tied the entire event together.
